To Pluck or Not To Pluck . . .

off, let's answer a few questions.

1. What are the differences between waxing and threading?
            * Threading uses thread / string / floss to pull your hair follicles out.
            * Wax uses a warm wax and a strip of paper to pull your hair out.
2. Which one hurts more?
            * I would say threading.
3. Which one costs more?
            * Since I have found this $7.00 threading place, waxing costs more.
4. Which do I prefer and why?
            * I prefer threading.  It gives a more precise look and my skin doesn't get little zitty-looking bumps afterword.
5. Can I go to any threading place?
            * I would do your homework first.  Not every threader is created equal, and a bad eyebrow job can do some permanent damage!

So without further adieu, here are some photos of my eyebrow threading today:

You can see that I am holding my eyelid down and pulling my forehead up so the threader can better shape my brows.

I also decided to have my upper lip threaded.  Maybe it didn't need it, but whenever the person there asks, "and your upper lip?"  I assume they are seeing something I'm not.  So you betcha.  Thread that upper lip!
Notice the redness around my eyebrows?  It goes away, for me, after about 5 minutes.  And notice, as well, how I am using my tongue to push the skin of the upper lip area?  The threader asks me to do that so that it's easier to get rid of all the hairs.

So there we have it, folks!  If you haven't tried it, I highly recommend it.  You'll never realize how much difference a good brow shape can make.  I'm excited to share my favorite eyebrow products (coming soon!) to fill in your brows and make them look on fleek!

What do you prefer?  Plucking, threading, or waxing?  Or are you one of those insanely lucky people that just has good brows and you get to do nothing?
