I've shared with you about the FALL In Love With Your Closet Challenge
here.
And to kick things off, I wanted to show you Amanda's clothes, the first closet
I worked with. I hope as you look, you can get ideas for your own
clothes! And maybe you will be one of the lucky ones who's closet I will
come and help make outfits with!
To start off, let's see what looks we made with Amanda's favorite Target
t-shirt:
Flare jeans with a casual
t-shirt, The shirt is tucked in the front with a statement
necklace. A chunky necklace adds SO much to a simple t-shirt!
 |
Same shirt with
skinny jeans and booties. The necklace is not as chunky, but still adds a
great touch, making it more than "just a t-shirt".
|
 |
Same outfit as above,
just adding a flannel shirt around the waist. Note: the flannel shirt is
buttoned up before tying around the waist, the neckline not showing in the
rear. See:
|
This brings us to the FLANNEL SHIRT, and the many ways to wear it.
NOTICE: the following outfits all have the same t-shirt Amanda was already
wearing.
Amanda's wearing skinny jeans with
the flannel shirt left open, the sleeves rolled slightly (a favorite look of
mine for button-up shirts), and a long, simple necklace.
 |
The only difference
here is that the flannel shirt is tied together at the front. Notice that
the t-shirt is still tucked in.
|
Same look as the
first open flannel shirt look, but now it is more casual with the tennis
shoes. These are some of my favorite! Converse slip-ons. LOVE
them!
 |
I love this look – un-tucking
the t-shirt (to cover up the rear, and just to look good in general!), putting
on leggings, and wearing flats. The shirt is tied in the front and
sleeves are slightly rolled.
|
Change flats for
boots to get a little bit dressier look.
 |
In case you wonder how
this looks from behind. And don't pretend you weren't wondering how you
would look from behind in leggings! ;-) I would HIGHLY recommend a
t-shirt that is a bit long, like this one.
Enter: White cami!
Add a jean chambray shirt and utility jacket. You could also keep t-shirt
on and flannel with the utility jacket. SO MANY OPTIONS!
Booties and
black vest.
Polka dot sweater,
from WAL-MART, what?!
Notice the necklace is outside the collar. Take a look here . .
.
And here.
Another Wal-Mart
sweater, change necklace and put jean jacket on.
Such a versatile piece, this white button-up shirt. Worn here
with flare jeans, a belt, and cardigan. Notice the sleeves are pulled
longer than the cardigan and rolled up.
Full body
shot. Worn with cowboy boots. (But could be worn with so many different
shoes!)
Button the cardigan.
White shirt unbuttoned a few buttons with a necklace.
A completely
different look just because of a new necklace.
Gold
belt, wedge shoes, flare jeans. Yes, flare jeans and wedges CAN go
together! Just make sure the length on the jeans is long enough that it
still touches or almost touches the ground on your heel when wearing the
wedges.
Same outfit, just
different dress shirt.
How rolled sleeves
look - close up.
Same jeans and wedges
with a t-shirt, simple long necklace, and a jacket.
Jacket sleeves turned
up.
Similar jacket,
different color, worn with jeans (could be leggings) and converse for a fun,
casual look. T-shirt un-tucked in the back.
Dress up the jacket
with boots.
There you have
it! Amanda and I had SO MUCH FUN mixing and matching clothes. And really, with just these clothes there are so many other ways to mix and
match that we could go on and on. But this can get your wheels
turning. Now go to your closet and see what you can come up with!
